| 2002 | DNA Group, Inc, Digital Switching Systems parent company, established a new business unit focused on the Marine and Transportation markets with the purchase of Grayhill Inc.'s Digital Switching Systems product line. |

| 2004 | DSS launched first full Solid State switching module. |
| 2005 | DNA restructured its operations to conduct business under three separate companies: Defond North America, LLC, Digital Switching Systems, LLC, and Sygnal Technologies, LLC. |
| 2006 | Digital Switching Systems established service center agencies in Italy and Australia. |
| 2007 | DSS made a commitment to “plug & play” open architecture and had their first certified NMEA 2000 product – the PowerGate 2000. |
| 2008 | DSS introduced first CAN-based keypad. |
| 2009 | DSS introduced the new PowerKey Pro family of keypads. DSS created omni-BUS™ platform for open source control of power distribution centers. |
| 2010 | In early February, DSS announced integration partnership with Lowrance (a leader in electronic displays) by linking Digital Switching Systems' multiplex device network managed by its software omni-BUS™ to Lowrance's HDS displays. In June, DSS announced their new partnership with Wes-Garde Components Group. Wes-Garde becomes DSS’ Primary Certified Distributor for DSS’ ultimate human interface device, the PowerKey Pro family of keypads. Today DSS is the leading supplier of multiplex systems for low voltage, ruggedized applications and continues to pursue innovative ways to communicate with power through state-of-the-art technology made possible with only the highest quality of products and the most universal open source software available. |
